3D Animation

Illustrating How It Works

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

As an eye-catcher for the new website of WMT AG, a 3D animation was created to explain how the developed cancer drug works. This video is used as an intro on the homepage. The animation was based on a detailed process description provided by WMT AG. Most of the video is completely computer-generated (CGI); only the end was supplemented with purchased live-action footage (stock footage).

Short animation sequences—like the one below—were used to coordinate movements, materials, and processes. The 3D models from the animation were later also used to illustrate the various immune cells on the website.

Narration and Subtitles

To make the processes more understandable even for laypeople, the video was accompanied by a specially recorded narration. On the WMT website, this text is also displayed as subtitles to avoid startling visitors with sound and to reduce the bounce rate.
